Journey: Rimgcurran -> Kinsale Yacht Club
Distance: 2.52M / 4.05KM
Total Distance: 69.68M / 116.19KM
Despite there being no slippery pole this weekend in Kinsale, the kids spirits weren’t dampened as Harry & Chloe set off to Kinsale Yacht Club today with a few stop-off’s en route. Harry arrived into Kinsale and after a photo with Billy Morgan, Eileen and the team at Kitty O’ Se’s, Harry & Chloe were wined and dined by Claire at Sunday’s Ice Cream & Coffee Bar.
With a belly full of ice-cream, the kids biked down to Kinsale Fire Station, where Harry met two local firemen, Dave & Dwayne, who kindly showed the kids around the fire truck. Harry & Chloe were accompanied at the Fire Station by Bodhi & Indie McCarthy, where the kids had a great time around the truck and in particular seeing the fire hose. The fire service and in particular Dave have been great to us in recent weeks and we thank them sincerely for their support.
The kids finished today’s route cycling across Kinsale and down to the Yacht Club, where they were greeted by Matthias & Michael Hellstern, aswell as Harvey, Ruby & Penny Tucker. Both Harry & Chloe were presented with some lovely gifts from the Yacht Club before they refreshed and headed home.
Our sincere thanks today to Kitty O’ Se’s, Sunday’s Ice Cream, Kinsale Fire Station and Kinsale Yacht Club and in particular Matthias, Harvey & Brian (Goggin), who kindly put today’s arrangements in place.
Tomorrow sees Harry head east towards Crosshaven, where he will look to cycle around the town. The countdown is well and truly on to next Saturday and the coming days will see Harry’s routes touch on a number of homes that are close to his heart.
A massive thanks to everybody for your support to-date. It’s been an incredible few weeks and a journey we will never forget. Please continue to share the campaign to help raised awareness and support for children with Autism . Thanks a million Dave to yourself and Duane for treating the kids today. Harry had an absolute ball.
Thank you to Eileen, Billy and all at Kitty's for having us today. A tad too early for a drink but nevertheless lovely to see you back open for business.
David O Donovan is feeling proud with Ricky O'Hanlon.
