Harry cycled from our old estate in Castleheights, Kilmoney Road to Sonas on Church Road, Carrigaline today. Harry got a lovely surprise when Damien turned up in the Garda car and provided a police escort for Harry and his sister Chloe through the streets of Carrigaline. He got plenty of support on the streets from the people of Carrigaline before reaching Sonas.
Sonas has been central to Harry’s development as a child these past two years and we are forever indebted to them for the work Barbara and her staff have done to help address and support his needs.
Harry was joined on the last leg of his cycle by Cllr. Seamus McGrath and was met at Sonas by the newly appointed Minister for Public Expenditure & Reform, Michael McGrath. Michael was very supportive for us as a family going through the assessment of need process, so it was lovely to see him at today’s finish line. Back to Kinsale tomorrow with a cycle to the Dock beach and a little detour planned.
