Journey: Ringcurran Rise -> Kinsale Fire Station -> The Dock Beach Castlepark
Distance: 4M / 6.44KM
Total Distance:19.66M / 31.63KM
Harry’s dreams came true to today with a visit to the fire station en-route to the Dock beach. Harry left home approximately 11:00am and today was accompanied by the Paget clan from Ringcurran, along with his sister Chloe. Harry cycled into Kinsale before visiting the fire station, where he met David and the team, who kindly showed Harry and the kids around the fire truck. To say he was in his element was an understatement - he got to all the things he has dreamed of doing, wearing the fire hat, sit in the truck, turn on the siren and use the hose. It was fantastic and we are so thankful to David and the team at the fire station for their kindness and support to Harry and the kids this morning.
After leaving the fire station, the kids cycled to the Dock beach. Harry loves the Dock and whilst he is not great with water anywhere near his head or hair, it has given him a great outlet to enjoy himself there over the past few years. All the kids were treated to an ice-cream on arrival, before heading to the beach for some fun. Tomorrow, Harry will be back around Kinsale and plans to cycle to the playground. He has cycled almost 32KM in 6days and is well on track to crack the 100KM target.
Thank you to everybody for your generosity and support – the campaign has raised huge awareness and far exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful and thankful to everybody for your kind messages and support.
