Journey: Ringcurran Rise -> Kinsale Rugby Club
Distance: 1.94M / 3.19KM
Total Distance:41.24M / 66.37KM
Back to Kinsale today and another belter of a day as the kids headed off from home for a short cycle to the rugby club. This route is where it all started for Harry, as his first few trips on the road during COVID was to the nearby rugby club and back. This gave Harry the confidence on the bike he needed in adapting to the roads albeit without traffic at the time.
Today the kids were joined by their neighbours, Niamh, Evelyn and mam, Grainne, as they took a short break in the sun before heading back home. It was exactly the cycle Harry needed after a busy weekend on the road!
Tomorrow’s cycle is even closer to home, as Harry and Chloe will be joined by a number of kids in Ringcurran and they will look to cycle 3km around the estate. The kids have all been integral to the fundraiser and a number have joined Harry on his cycling trips across Kinsale and further afield. It is great to integrate the children into the planned cycles and it greatly helps to keep Harry motivated.
A special mention must go to the girls in Ringcurran who put on a lovely cake sale last week to raise money for the GoFundMe. They baked some lovely cakes/buns and made a whopping €25 for the fundraiser. Harry was so pleased and we are blessed to have such lovely neighbours-thank you girls!
